Shandon Neighborhood Flooding

Since assuming office in July I have been contacted by several residents in the Shandon neighborhood about serious flooding issues as the result of heavy and intense rain storms. The City's Utilities and Engineering Department held a series of meetings in the fall to study drainage in this area and issued a summary "Shandon Stormwater Study". At its December 17th meeting City Council approved an agreement for engineering services with the firm of Cox and Dinkins for storm drainage system mapping and analysis in the Shandon / Rosewood area drainage basin.
